I. International Market Analysis

Monthly summary of China's export market of magnesium ingots: This month, the FOB price of magnesium metal is 2070-2320 USD/Ton. In the early stage, affected by the continuous decline in domestic magnesium prices, the export market was bearish, and
buyers were willing to lower prices, resulting in order prices generally close to the lower limit of the quotation, and low-level transactions dominated the mainstream. According to feedback from export companies, new orders in March were limited and buyers were generally cautious. It is also necessary to pay attention to the progress of inquiries in April after the magnesium price rebounded.

In February, the export volume of magnesium metal products (magnesium ingots, magnesium powder, and magnesium alloy) totaled 29,623.329 tons, decreasing 6,536.691 tons from the previous month, with a decrease of about 18.08%, and increasing 757.489 tons from the same period in 2024, with an increase of about 2.62%

Among them, the export volume of magnesium ingots in February was about 19,830.25 tons, decreasing 1,610.848 tons from the previous month, with a decrease of about 7.51%, and increasing 2,111.897 tons year-on-year, with an increase of about 11.92%.
Magnesium powder exports in February totaled 4,066.39 tons, decreasing 2,500.366 tons month-on-month, with a decrease of about 3.81%, and decreasing 701.607 tons year-on-year, with a decrease of about 14.71%.
Magnesium alloy exports in February totaled 5,726.689 tons, decreasing 2,425.477 tons month-on-month, with a decrease of about 29.75%, and decreasing 652.771 tons year-on-year, with a decrease of about 10.23%.
