Chinese Caustic Soda Flake Prices Stabilize Again
After a period of sharp increases driven by rising demand for alumina production, the price of caustic soda flakes is showing more positive signs. Currently, the Chinese caustic soda flake market is in a wait-and-see state, with prices trending stable. On the manufacturing side, factory prices in Shandong remain unchanged, while most factories in the Northwest have yet to update their latest price quotes. Some factories in Shandong, Inner Mongolia, and Xinjiang are temporarily under maintenance or reducing production, while most other facilities continue to operate normally.
The supply situation for caustic soda has improved as some factories have completed maintenance, and demand for caustic soda in the aluminum sector has slowed. Additionally, some caustic soda flake manufacturers have not yet announced new price quotes. A cautious sentiment dominates the market, keeping prices temporarily stable. However, rail transportation in Xinjiang remains challenging as China prioritizes the transport of agricultural products, cotton, and coal to support the winter season and year-end holidays.
